I have watched this discussion from afar - having lived in Burnham from 1987 to 1990 whilst working as part of the 'Fast Reactor Engineering Team' for CEGB/UKAEA..

I am horrified that the Dengie Penninsula may be inhabited by noisy and very inneficient Wind Farms..
Yet again the general public have been badly informed (nearly said 'conned')by the those with a financial interest in no-hope schemes for mass Electricity Generation...

Whilst looking into alternate energy supplies back in the eighties - we looked at the Danish Wind Farms (The Danes have since de-commissioned quite a large percantage of their original wind generated capacity).
We looked at a Tidal Barrage across the Wash, A Tidal Barrage in the Severn Estuary ('Landing Charges' are phenominal).

There is only one hope for Mankind - The Universe is full of natural Nuclear Reactors - That's what Stars are. Nuclear Power Generation will be all that is left - No choices - ALL THAT IS LEFT

Save your Peninsula and put people before profit... Tell the Farmers that their Wind Generator site income from rentals/Leases (whatever) of, maybe £10K per annum is about ten hours profit of the Generator Operator.
